Q: What’s your specialty in The Canine Stars shows?

During Canine Stars show, you may see me performing an agility sequence, dock diving into a water or ball pit, participating in thehigh jump section, small freestyle disc routine and teaching short lessons on how to get your dog started disc!

Q: Tell us about your pack…your family of dogs.

I currently have 5 dogs in my household! At my house, we have Hime who is my almost 11yr old Catahoulaleopard dog who is retired from performing and competing. Also Loki, 1yr old great pyrenee, who is my husband's dog and is designated couch potato at our house until we get live stocks! At Canine Stars show, you may see Haru (almost10yr old Border Collie), Apollo (3yr old Golden Retriever) and Nox (1yr oldGolden Retriever) performing and saying hi to everyone!

Q: What are your favorite Canine Stars shows and adventures?

It's hard to pick one favorite show as I enjoy all of them! Performing at the Speedway in Fort Worth, TX was exciting as I have never been that close to a race track! But I also loved performing at Puptopia and meeting everyone there. I just love performing in general with my dogs and our awesome Canine Star family!

Q: What are your top FOUNDATION skills that you like to train?

Whenever I train my dogs or my client's dogs, I have few foundation skills that I work on. They are eye contact, name, touch, come, and socialization! These are my favorite things to teach as it starts the dog on the right foot.

Q: What are your favorite TRICK skills that you teach all your dogs?

My all time favorite tricks are "shake it off", as if they are trying to shake off water. Also, I love "who's your sister/brother?" trick that Haru does, where she will put her arms around the dog next to her!

Q: How did you get started in dog sports and dog training?

I've always been interested in dogs and animals in general from a young age. When I was a sophomore in high school, I had an opportunity to work with an animal behaviorist on an aggressive dog who had been surrendered o the vet clinic that I was volunteering at. He taught me positive reinforcement methods and it was amazing to see this dog come around from snapping at everyone to showing curiosity and not lunging at people. Since then, I have taken numerous classes and seminars to expand on my knowledge and opened my business in 2015 under the name "Triple H Dog Training''. I absolutely love being able to work with dog owners who are struggling with their pet dogs and help them enjoy training with their dogs! It's an incredible transformation to see!

Q: Outside of performing with The Canine Stars, what is your “normal” life like?

My normal life consists of running my business, Triple H Dog Training, full time in the east Texas area. When I am not teaching classes, I am working with my dogs and spending time with my husband, Nick, and our 1yrold son, Levi. Most weekends, I am either competing at a dog show or performing with Canine Stars! On rare occasions when I am completely free, we take the dogs out for a hike or go to a new restaurant to try new food with my family!
